Churchill College, University of Cambridge (www.chu.cam.ac.uk)Actually this wasn't a design project (you think we'd choose that purple?!). Churchill College had a site with over 700 pages and an almost unusable navigation system: We indexed the whole site into a single Windows Explorer style menu. 
By using Dynamic HTML, a clever bit of CSS, some Javascript tricks and a healthy dose of PHP, the menu can be collapsed and expanded in sections without the page reloading. It is compatible with all major browsers (tested in IE 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, Firefox 0.9 through 1.5, Konqueror, Safari..) and can be updated by the college staff via a single textfile. |
